I worked for Boeing for 20 years as an engineer improving the reliability of the electronics of all Boeing aircraft including the 777. Every time a Boeing aircraft would go down, almost all of us Boeing employees would ask if the cause might have been something we did or did not do. Pilots throughout the world prefer to fly Boeing aircraft over any others because of how well built they are and their reliability. I don't think MH370 went down from some faulty Boeing design or build or even lack of proper maintenance.
Some think that the aircraft was highjacked by terrorist. But it would have been very difficult for any terrorist or even group of terrorist to have dismantled the aircraft's transponders in flight. I do think MH370 will be found and whenever this happens a thorough investigation of the plane will be conducted. The media has already placed in most people's minds that a couple of terrorist were responsible. Maybe this was the cause. But the fact that the media has been leading folks this way makes me somewhat suspicious of such a cause.
Personally, I like the explanation given by zetatalk at http://www.zetatalk.com/newsletr/issue390.htm. Their explanation is that Planet X caused an electromagnetic pulse in the area where flight MH370 was causing the electrical system to be knocked out. This may sound far out. But when you begin to understand how the earth's magnetosphere is now being affected by Planet X, such an explanation does have some possibility and even merit. If MH370 went down due to an induced electromagnetic impulse from Planet X, then more aircraft will be affected the same way. This will make air travel more risky world wide until Planet X passes out of the solar system.
I expect that when the missing Boeing 777 is found that it will show the electrical system was totally fried by an unknown source outside of the plane. This will explain why the transponders suddenly went down along with all communication from the plane. If this is what the powers-that-be find, then don't ever expect them to implicate Planet X. As far as they are concerned such does not exist. To admit to such would cause world wide panic which they certainly do not want. The easy explanation will be to blame the loss of the aircraft on a couple of terrorist even though it would have been very difficult, if not impossible, for such to disconnect the aircraft's transponders in flight.
